Cute Ways To Ask A Guy To A Dance Using Candy

Brinkman, Chippendale, Nazi Knife ... James Jean

Heads, 44 of Mat Brinkman , co-published by PictureBox Inc. and The Hole. 28X43 cm. 1000 ex. 30 €. Superb book
inserted into a sealed black bag, reproduced here 44 heads designed by Mat Brinkman on rice paper. The print job is impeccable, vellum (fine) of high quality and PictureBox Inc. reveals that the dense black ink was quickly dried using UV lamps. The record is really impressive, playing field through transparency are crazy, a head superimposed on the next to create a third, unreported. Certainly one of the most beautiful books we've received this year.

If'n Oof, hearty comic book Brian Chippendale (800 pages). Released by PictureBox Inc.. 14.5 X18, 5 cm. 30 €.
Here is a very excellent comic crazy, conducted by the drummer from Lightning Bolt. We follow the peregrinations of these two characters, and Oof Yew, who happens to many dirty stories ... Funny, delirious, surreal, pop, psyche also ... The drawings are rough and powerful, the line of Chippendale is thick and sharp. At the same time it has several styles to his bow, he can alternate with talent (special mention for its negative plates!).
We highly recommend this great pad!

The last Nazi Knife in date, number 7. 32 pages, 3 €. This issue
A5 photocopied B & W is much more "zine" that previous shipments of the band to Hendrik Hegray (the one who we owe this No. 7). The artists who worked this time are therefore Hendrik (always as impressive mastery and invention), Leon Sadler, CF, Mehdi Hercberg (Shoboshobo) and Robert Beatty. Here the beautiful ugly alongside the desire to explore the features and new ways. A Grand Guignol we love ... and that's why you are talking to each batch. Moreover, Hendrik Hegray and Jonas Delaborde embark on a new adventure, called False Flag.

False Flag No. 1, new publishing team Nazi Knife. 10 €.
Bigger, more luxurious and less expensive than Nazi Knife (in its magazine format, zine and not), here is a new magazine focused on contemporary design (also reproduced some sculpture work absolutely fascinating and ... confusing!). It is deliberately cold but that does not object to be beautiful. Emphasize the insert duotone King Terry, this brilliant cartoonist publications extremely rare (we had seen some of his drawings in the latest issue of Ganzfeld, Japanada ). We look forward to his Bad 'n' nice , big book of 591 pages of drawings, we must again PictureBox Inc. and will delight all fans of Gary Panter (the two designers are the source of style " ratty line).
But False Flag not limited to this coup ... we totally crush on the drawings of Robert Beatty (Hair Police member, awesome band noise ). The program also Denis Tyfus (label Ultra Eczema), James Ferraro (Skaters group) or Roope Eronen.
If recent times the magazine Hey cartons in bookstores (and quite rightly), you will be able to discover what is happening now in the drawing in the pages of False Flag and Nazi Knife two journals resolutely future-oriented.
